9fin's ambition is to provide the most extensive, verified and reliable debt market data and intelligence, and deliver it seamlessly, wherever our clients work. In markets that move around the clock, that means being on the ground in more than one time zone.
We've recently hired 90 specialists across two new offices in Santiago, Chile and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The locations support our existing expansion into Latin America and Asia-Pacific, with Santiago giving us deep overlap with US market hours and Kuala Lumpur putting us at the doorstep of Asia's biggest credit markets. Both cities offer strong local talent pools.
Together with our existing hub in Belfast, they form 9fin's first truly global data operation, with three continents working in sequence to deliver 24/5 follow-the-sun coverage from Monday morning in Asia to Friday close in New York.
This reflects how our clients already work. Private credit is expanding across Asia, US high-yield debt increasingly trades during Asian hours, and cross-border restructurings involve companies, investors and advisers across multiple regions.
The new hubs allow 9fin to capture new issuance, earnings releases and other credit updates as they happen throughout the working week. They will also help us expand coverage across more issuers, asset classes and jurisdictions, including for our new investment grade coverage, while reducing the delays and gaps that come from relying on a single location.
The expansion also strengthens the data foundation behind 9fin’s AI products, which are built on proprietary data and verified by analysts with deep market expertise. By extending that operation across three continents, we can give our AI broader coverage and more timely, reliable information. Our $170 million Series C provides further investment to scale this work.
To everyone joining us in Santiago and Kuala Lumpur: welcome. And to the wider 9fin team who helped make this happen: thank you.
We're still in the early chapters of the story, but it feels bigger and bigger every year. If you'd like to be a part of it, we're hiring!
